Returns Policy
We hope you’re happy with your purchase from Modesty Performance. However, if you need to return an item, cancel an order or report a problem, we’re here to help.
This policy explains your return options, how to arrange a return and when refunds will be issued. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions.
01. Your Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer purchasing goods online, you generally have the legal right to cancel your order without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving your goods.
Where goods from the same order are delivered separately, the cancellation period generally begins when the final item is received.
To exercise this right, you must notify us of your decision to cancel before the cancellation period expires.
You can do this by emailing sales@modestyperformance.com. You do not need to give a reason.
Important: The 14-day cancellation period is generally calculated from receipt of the goods, not the date the order was placed.
02. How to Return an Item
To help us identify and process your return efficiently, we recommend following the steps below.
- Contact us at sales@modestyperformance.com, quoting your order number.
- Tell us which item you wish to return. We may issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) reference to help track your return.
- Package the item securely, preferably using its original packaging where suitable, to protect it during transit.
- Include your order number or other identifying details with the parcel.
- Send the item to our returns address within 14 days of notifying us of cancellation.
An RMA reference helps us administer returns, but obtaining one is not a condition of exercising your statutory cancellation rights.

03. Condition of Returned Goods
You may inspect goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in a manner similar to what would reasonably be permitted in a shop.
Please handle returned products carefully and include any supplied accessories, fittings or other components where applicable.
We may make a deduction from a change-of-mind refund if handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods has reduced their value. Any deduction will reflect the actual reduction in value and applicable law.
Installed components: Installing or operating an automotive component may constitute handling beyond what is necessary for inspection. This does not automatically remove your cancellation rights, but any resulting reduction in value may be considered when calculating a refund.
These conditions do not restrict your statutory rights where goods are faulty or do not conform to the contract.
04. Return Shipping Costs
For change-of-mind cancellations, customers are normally responsible for the direct cost of returning goods.
We recommend using a tracked delivery service and retaining proof of postage.
Where goods are faulty, incorrectly supplied or otherwise do not conform to the contract, we will meet our applicable legal obligations concerning reasonable return or collection costs.
05. Refunds
Following a valid consumer cancellation, we will reimburse the relevant payments, including the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option where applicable.
Additional charges for premium or express delivery services are not normally refundable beyond the standard delivery amount, to the extent permitted by law.
We will issue the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the returned goods or, if earlier, receiving satisfactory evidence that they have been sent back.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.
Your payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
06. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
If you receive a faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied product, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable.
Include your order number and a description of the problem. Photographs may help us investigate, but they are not a requirement for exercising your statutory rights.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
These rights are separate from the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation period and are not limited to that period.
We will comply with our obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable legislation.
07. Exceptions to Cancellation
Certain goods may be excluded from the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right, including goods made to a customer’s specifications or clearly personalised, where the relevant legal exception applies.
Selecting a standard product option or purchasing a component manufactured in advance does not automatically make it a bespoke product.
Any applicable exception will be explained before purchase.
These exceptions do not remove statutory remedies for faulty or incorrectly described goods.
08. Business Purchases
The statutory consumer 14-day cancellation right does not automatically apply to purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes.
Returns of correctly supplied, non-defective goods purchased for business use are subject to any applicable agreed business terms.
This does not affect remedies available under applicable law for defective or non-conforming goods.
This Returns Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Shipping Policy. Nothing in this policy excludes or restricts mandatory consumer rights.
